Ordinary Hatchback

The Ford Sierra was introduced in 1983 to replace the ageing, but very popular, Ford Cortina. It was a pretty ordinary car until 1986 when in conjunction with Cosworth the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was released.

This 3-door hatchback had immense power, great handling and roadholding and was relatively cheap. It genuinely had supercar performance but was still basically a Ford Sierra. Only 30,000 were made of all models but it's still a legend more than twenty years after it hit the market.

It shows that even things which are basically ordinary can become incredibly special with some work by passionate people...
