The sun was blazing, water got choppy and it was easy to see how quickly a storm could brew. And even though there was no walking on water I know I'll always remember this time.

Bare (198/365)
Have you ever lifted a carpet? Underneath are a myriad of imperfections and anomalies that have amassed during the time the carpet has been on... marks I would prefer not to show others.
This is what it means to be laid bare... to be seen as I truly am... not dressed up & covered over... but stripped back, raw, open & vulnerable.
Thing is... regardless of how uncomfortable this is and trust me its uncomfortable to have nails sticking up all over the place... for me to live a life of love... I must brave this feeling.
I must brave it because it is the only way I can be real... be honest... be true to myself... and to others... and to the one whose image I was created in.
