I recently discovered a stretch of beach just north of Aberdeen that is littered with old WWII coastal defences, pillboxes, tank traps and anti-troop defences, its my new favourite place to shoot!
It certainly is - I used to go there a lot when I lived in Aberdeen. There's a pillbox on its own to the North of the car park... that's the one where we got engaged. Not IN the pillbox, obviously, but that's how far we'd walked up the beach when it happened.

Where is that? I got engaged on a beach just North of Aberdeen next to a WW2 pillbox (Balmedie Beach).
It was at Balmedie, there's a formation of 3 pillboxes just south of the main car park. Its a beautiful place Balmedie.

Lots of those odd bomb shelter thingies in Peterhead, too. Quite a scary piece of history when you think about it.
